Warning Signals

Digital print and wood on canvas 25"w 31"h 4"d
You wake up in the morning feeling achy and stiff. Sometimes your left heel hurts. Or maybe it's your right hip. Your gut cramps because it doesn't like what you had to eat. Sometimes your head gets dizzy. Warning signs! Aches and pains have become a part of our daily life. We get plenty of advice on how to deal with it. Exercise to keep healthy! Don't overdo it! Pay attention to your diet! Don't climb on ladders! Get innoculated! Don't eat too much sugar! Or fat! Get your hearing tested! We get weighed, measured, punctured with needles and hooked up to machines. But we're not complaining (too much). Our bodies have been on this journey for a long time. For a 65-year old, it adds up to 23,725 days...and counting.
